I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, existential dread, or relationship strife. During our sessions together, we will look deeply into underlying causes and address anything limiting you from the life you want to lead.
In our first few sessions, we'll unearth the parts of your story. Then, we will begin to work deeper on the reoccurring themes, difficult history, and patterns that no longer serve you. With a psychodynamic approach I am interested in how our relationship in session reflects your relationships outside of the therapeutic space. Together we can investigate these aspects and what they may reveal.

What I've come to value above all else in my life, is authenticity. For me, a meaningful life is one of reflection, honesty, and small moments grounded in contentment.
Though I was born in the Midwest, I have lived all over the United States. While living in Dublin, Ireland I obtained an MPhil in Psychoanalytic Studies. For many reasons, this experience changed the course of my life. I returned to the United States, and began study with William and Mary for Counseling.
When I'm not in session with clients, you might find me in my garden surrounded by my flock of ducks. During the cold months, I am usually curled up reading a book, sipping a cup of tea.
Why Psychodynamic/Depth Therapy? Analysis alongside depth work unearths unconscious themes, unresolved conflict, and unhealed trauma which impact our interpersonal relating.
Why Existential Psychotherapy? I believe there is a fundamental need in the human experience to withstand circumstances when all else is lost. I have taken on this existential perspective and I believe it can benefit those in my care who have given up hope, and wish to instead change themselves to find a way through.
Why Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing? EMDR can be a powerful tool for scaffolding away from strong 'load bearing' defense mechanisms and reworking the ingrained neural pathways built by trauma.
